This is where I am supposed explain to you why this website exists. I believe it is also expected I say something about who I am. These two points are one in the same. I have created these images, animations, books, poems, and commentary (see Deadlast.us) because I am complelled to reflect the world I see, the people I meet, and the nature of the culture in which we exist.

I love the images of the street – people, street art and graffiti. The first tenet of street photography is that the character of our culture and ourselves can be revealed in the unposed moment. First we must look, eventually we learn to see. KutlureJam is the product ot my meandering journey toward that end.

Politics? Silence is collusion.

Details: I use two cameras - a Leice M6 (50mm Summicron, 28mm Zeiss, 35mm Voigtlander, and a 90mm Leica Tele-Elmarit) and a Canon 5D Mark III. I don't own a flash and don't use them.

Current projects: In January and February I published three books - 57 Images of Japan, Duets, and Just Passin' Through.
